Operators.
Not Consultants.
Gonchar AI is a small, founder-led shop that builds AI systems for US small and mid-size businesses. We didn't come to AI from consulting. We came to it because we needed it to run our own company — and then discovered almost nobody was building this properly for businesses our size.
It Started as Selfishness
We run a jet ski rental operation in Miami. Seasonal, tourist-driven, and brutal in exactly the way every small service business is brutal: the phone rings when you're on the water, the messages come in three languages across four apps, the waivers never get signed until someone is standing on the dock, and the books get reconciled whenever there's a quiet evening — which there isn't.
So we automated it. Not as a project — as survival. A booking agent that answers on Telegram, Instagram and WhatsApp in whatever language the customer writes in. A voice agent on the phone line. Square payments with links generated inside the conversation. Waivers signed before arrival. QuickBooks that reconciles itself. Ads that report on collected revenue instead of clicks.
Then other owners started asking how. A contractor. A car rental operator. A professional services firm. Every one of them had been quoted either a $29/month chatbot that knew nothing about their business, or a six-figure "AI transformation" from a consultancy that had never met a payroll under fifty people.
There was nothing in between. That gap is the entire reason this company exists.
So the offer is deliberately narrow: we build the systems we already run, for businesses shaped like ours, at prices a business shaped like ours can actually pay. Minimum engagement $5,000. Live in week one. You own it when we're done.
Dmytro Honchar
Founder of Gonchar AI and operator of Gonchar Group LLC, a Miami-based company running rental operations, fleet logistics and the automation stack behind both.
He builds. That's the unusual part: on every engagement you talk directly to the person writing the integration, not to an account manager who relays your problem to a junior you'll never meet. It's also the limit on how many builds we take at once — and we'd rather say that out loud than pretend to be bigger than we are.
Background: hands-on operations across rentals and fleet businesses, multi-entity bookkeeping, paid acquisition, and a production automation stack spanning voice, messaging, payments, accounting and ad attribution — all of it running a real company before any of it was sold to anyone.

Six Beliefs That Shape Every Build
Shipping beats strategy
A working automation on Friday teaches you more than a twelve-week discovery phase. We'd rather build the smallest real version and learn from it than be right on a slide.
AI does volume, people do judgment
We don't sell "replace your staff." We build agents that make your existing people dramatically faster. When a function genuinely no longer needs a human, we'll say so — but we won't pretend judgment is automatable.
If we can't demo it, we don't sell it
Every service in our catalog traces back to a system running in our own operation. It's a hard filter, it keeps the catalog smaller than our competitors', and it's the reason we can show you things instead of describing them.
You should be able to fire us
You own the code, the accounts and the documentation. No lock-in, no hostage data, no multi-year contract. If we're not worth the money, leaving should be easy — that pressure keeps us honest.
Launch is the easy part
Most AI projects don't fail at launch — they fail three months later when a token expires and nobody notices. That's why monitoring, health checks and escalation playbooks are part of how we build, not an upsell.
Bad news early
If something won't work, costs more than it returns, or shouldn't be automated at all, you hear it on the call — not after the invoice. We've talked people out of projects. It costs us revenue and earns us the next three.
What an Engagement Actually Looks Like
No mystery, no discovery theater. This is the whole process.
Free diagnostic call — 30 minutes
We ask about your operation, not your "AI strategy." You get a scored written report within 24 hours, and an honest read on whether this is worth doing at all.
Proposal with a fixed price
Scope, acceptance criteria, milestones, timeline, ongoing third-party costs itemized. Nothing starts until you've seen the whole number.
Something goes live
Not a demo, not a mockup — a working piece of the system, in your accounts. It's the fastest way for both of us to find out if the plan survives contact with reality.
Build sprints with weekly demos
You see progress every week and can redirect. We need a few hours of your team's time early on — mostly to learn how the business actually works, which is never how the documentation says it does.
Training, runbook, keys
Your team is trained, everything is documented, and every account and credential is in your name. You could run it without us from that day.
Tuning window — included
Real usage always surfaces things nobody predicted. Fixing them is part of the price. Only after this does any retainer conversation happen, and only if you want one.
Who This Is For — and Who It Isn't
A good fit
- Owner-operated, 2–50 employees
- $300K–$10M in revenue
- The owner is the bottleneck for everything
- Real volume of repetitive work — calls, messages, admin
- Decisions get made in one or two conversations
- Wants to own the system, not rent it forever
Not a good fit
- Enterprise procurement and committee sign-off
- Looking for a $99/month tool, not a built system
- Wants guaranteed lead volumes in the contract
- Needs someone to automate accounts they don't own
- Pre-revenue with no repetitive process to automate yet
- Wants a strategy deck rather than a working system
If you're in the right column, say so on the call — we'll point you somewhere better and neither of us wastes a month finding out.
